Oxycon® Pro Metabolic Cart

The CareFusion Oxycon Pro is a complete metabolic cart suitable for practical applications unparalleled ease of operation. The modular concept provides sufficient possibilities for upgrades or subsequent expansion. This system records the data not only breath-by-breath, but also by Intrabreath, based on the Open-System approach. The Oxycon Pro allows testing all groups of persons, from children to adults and from patients to athletes. Extensive software, including exercise Flow-Volume program and IntelliSupport, a computerized interpretation program is part of the standard package. Special measurements are possible, such as Indirect Calorimetry (Canopy or ventilated patients), P0.1 during exercise, Mixing chamber mode, High/Low FiO2, Respiratory Drive and Cardiac Output.

• Integrated, fully automatic calibration system for the gas analyzers reduces time and potential for error.
• Fast response oxygen and carbon dioxide analyzers, volume measurement with a very lightweight, precise, bi-directional digital volume transducer (DVT) which can be placed directly at the mouth that is insensitive to water vapor and breathing gases; dead space 30 mL.
• Control bicycle ergometers and treadmills either analog or serially, reads ECG values and external pulse oximeters as well as blood pressure values.
• Software includes automated calculations such as Anaerobic Threshold types, parameter display showing color coded upper and lower limits of normal, sub-program macros for user-definable controls such as automated blood pressure recording.
• 12-Lead ECG and Polar Heart Rate options available.
• Optional program Lactate Express CPET for training recommendations (not available in the US).
